Do yourself a favour and rent the audio guide, there are locker rooms available so you do not have to carry backpacks with you. We were fortunate enough to visit the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit and it was amazing to see his life laid out in the form of his art!

Otherwise you get completely lost in this gigantic art collection. Can absolutely recommend guided tour or audio guide. Prioritise before you start, you can’t cover everything in a day!

Amazing trip to the Louvre today. I’m 7 months pregnant and they kindly let me go to the front of the queue, which was very much appreciated! It’s a long walk around the museum so make sure you wear comfy shoes! The line for the Mona Lisa is very busy so we didn’t queue but the rest of the art work made up for missing it. Stunning galleries and well organised with the audio guide. The only downside was the queues for the toilets, although minor, they have disabled and accessible friendly toilets in with the ladies and not separate which meant queuing for 15 minutes to use the toilet before entering the museum. But overall, a must see museum in Paris!
